New 2025 Homeless Count Date ConfirmedÂ
Â
Due to the recent wildfire crisis impacting Los Angeles County, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) postponed the originally scheduled Homeless Count. LAHSA has since confirmed a new date and the Homeless Count will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Â
The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) conducts an annual homeless count across Los Angeles County every January. This count allows stakeholders to receive official statistics of what homelessness looks like in our community.Â
The City of Manhattan Beach will once again host a deployment site for this year’s Homeless Count at the Joslyn Community Center (1601 N. Valley Drive) from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM.Â
On the night of the count, volunteers can arrive as a team as they count homeless individuals in Manhattan Beach. The City has previously hosted deployment sites at Joslyn Community Center for the county-wide 2018 - 2020, and 2022-2024 Homeless Counts. The City is grateful for the community's continued support of this event.
LAHSA is looking for volunteers to assist with conducting Manhattan Beach’s homeless count. The public is encouraged to sign up and participate. To sign up, go to: theycountwillyou.org.
For questions, please contact the City's Homelessness Liaison.
