In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, City offices will be closed
Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29.

City Hall is open for normal business hours. 

Inspections requested by 3:00 PM will be scheduled for Monday, December 2.

Inspections requested after 3:00 PM will be scheduled for Tuesday, December 3.

Scheduled inspection times are on the Daily Inspection Schedule at Citizen Self Service (CSS) by 6:00 PM the business day prior to the date of the inspection.

Construction

Construction is NOT allowed on Thursday (11/28), Friday (11/29), and Sunday (12/1).
No inspections are conducted on these days.

Construction is allowed on Saturday, November 30. 

Modified Residential Refuse & Street Sweeping Schedule

Street Sweeping: SCA of CA observes the Thanksgiving Day holiday; therefore, a modified street sweeping schedule will be in place for Thursday, November 28, 2024, only. Street sweeping will not take place on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and will not be made up. All other sweeping days that week will operate on a normal schedule and route. For more information regarding the Street Sweeping services, please contact SCA of CA at (562) 861-4606.

Refuse Collection: Waste Management observes the Thanksgiving Day holiday; therefore, a modified residential refuse schedule will be in place for collection days November 28 - 29, 2024.  Residential collection will be delayed by one day. Therefore, Thursday's route will be collected on Friday, and Friday's route collected on Saturday, November 30, 2024. If you have questions regarding your refuse service please contact Waste Management directly at (310) 830-7100. Check out all the holidays observed by Waste Management which will affect service days.

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours of Operation (Facilities)

• City offices: Closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29
• Begg Pool: Closed Thursday, November 28 (exception Begg Pool Masters 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM). Friday, November 29 open 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Joslyn and Manhattan Heights Community Centers: Closed (OASIS at Joslyn Community Center will be open on Friday, November 29 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.)
• Sand Dune: Closes at 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 28. Normal business hours on Friday, November 29.
• Tennis/Pickleball: Drop-in play until 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 28. Normal reservations on Friday, November 29, courts close at 5:00 PM. (Please note on Friday, November 29, Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, the Pickleball courts at Manhattan Heights Park and Manhattan Beach Middle School will be closed due to the 4th Annual Pickleball Turkey Tournament)
• Manhattan Beach Art Center: Closed Thursday, November 28.
• Live Oak Park Ceramics Studio: Closed Thursday, November 28.

The City of Manhattan Beach is offering a free Park & Ride shuttle service to help residents and visitors enjoy the Skechers Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks stress-free on Sunday, Dec. 8. The shuttle will operate from 2 to 10 p.m. with eight buses cycling continuously between designated pick-up and drop-off locations. 

Shuttle Pick-Up/Drop-Off Locations: 

• Downtown: Valley Drive between Manhattan Beach Boulevard and 10th Place 

• Northrop Grumman Parking Lot: Aviation Boulevard and Space Park Drive

To further reduce congestion, those using rideshare services like Lyft or Uber are encouraged to utilize the Northrop Grumman parking lot for drop-offs and pick-ups.
