City of Manhattan Beach: Road Work Closures - Parking Expansion: 90 New Public Parking Spaces within Downtown Manhattan Beach

The City of Manhattan Beach is taking steps to provide alternative parking in the downtown area due to the demolition of Parking Lot 3. The City Council authorized the creation of 90 new downtown public parking spaces, enhancing accessibility and convenience for residents and visitors.

The Public Works Department will begin the work on Monday, November 4, 2024, through Thursday, November 7, 2024. “No Parking” signs will be posted to designate street closures where work will begin to stripe the new parking spaces. The closures will affect the locations listed below.

Day 1 and 2: Monday, November 4, and Tuesday, November 5 - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

• Manhattan Avenue between 10th Street and 11th Street
• Valley Drive between 18th Street and 20th Place

Day 2 and 3: Tuesday, November 5, and Wednesday, November 6 - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

• Valley Drive between 17th Street and 18th Street
• Manhattan Avenue between 14th Place and 15th Street
• Manhattan Avenue between Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Center Place

Day 3 and 4: Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday, November 7, - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

• 15th Street between Valley Drive and Highland Avenue
• Morningside Drive between Manhattan Beach Boulevard and 13th Street

Day 4 and 5 Thursday, November 7, and Friday, November 8 - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

• Manhattan Beach Boulevard between Ocean Drive and the Strand
• Valley Drive between Manhattan Beach Boulevard and 13th Street
• Manhattan Avenue between 11th Street and Manhattan Beach Boulevard
