Important Parking Information for the Juneteenth Ceremony
Street parking will be very limited around Bruce’s Beach park. Parking at Grand View Elementary School, rideshares, carpooling, and DIAL-A-RIDE for Manhattan Beach residents is recommended and highly encouraged for this event. Download the Alternative Parking and Walking Map (PDF).
Manhattan Avenue will be closed from 26th Street to 27th Street.
The parking lot with an entrance on 26th Street, between Manhattan Avenue and Ocean Drive, is reserved for ceremony speakers, the choir, city council members, dignitaries, and staff. This parking lot will remain open to Manhattan Beach residents holding a parking permit leading up to and throughout the event.
Dropoff for carpools, rideshares, and individuals that need special accommodations is located along the westside of Highland Avenue between 26th and 27th Streets. Drivers for those with special accommodations may be able to receive a parking permit the day of the event to park closer to the event site on a first come, first served basis, as space permits. Please locate a traffic officer at the entrance of the parking lot.
Additional Parking at Grand View Elementary School
Additional parking is available at Grand View Elementary School (2617 Bell Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266) which is a short walk to the ceremony site. The entrance to the parking lot is located at the intersection of Manor Drive and 24th Street.
