Covered Electronic Waste Recycling Program

To assist regulated stakeholders, such as manufacturers, retailers, approved collectors, and approved recyclers, CalRecycle developed a new webpage and a question and answer (Q&A) document.
The Manufacturer Notice Guidance webpage contains a decision tree to help manufacturers determine if their product is a covered battery-embedded product (CBEP), or if it is an excluded product such as a covered video display device.
The questions in the Q&A are from inquiries that CalRecycle received from stakeholders, and we will continue to add to the list of Q&As. Whenever CalRecycle posts an updated Q&A, a listserv will be sent out to inform stakeholders. The Q&A and the two lists of CBEPs from manufacturer notices that CalRecycle shared in previous listservs will be housed permanently on this new page.
