Attention RDRS reporting entities,
If you do not report in RDRS for a wastewater treatment plant, then you may disregard this message.
CalRecycle previously developed a list of collection methods. To simplify collection method reporting for material that wastewater treatment plants accept, CalRecycle has created a new collection method, “Self-Hauled Source-Separated Wastewater Treatment.”
This collection method should be used for material that wastewater treatment plants accept from municipal wastewater sources. The collection method will be available starting October 1, 2025 for 2025 Q3 and later quarters. If desired, entities may revise previous reports to use the collection method.
