Notice of SB 1013 Addition of New Beverage Containers Permanent Regulations 45-Day Comment Period and Public Hearing

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) has begun formal rulemaking activities regarding the SB 1013 Addition of New Beverage Containers Permanent Regulations. The Notice of Proposed Action (Notice) linked below was published by the Office of Administrative Law on August 15, 2025, and the public comment period begins on August 15, 2025. CalRecycle will also hold a hybrid public hearing regarding this rulemaking on September 30, 2025, and the public comment period will end on September 30, 2025.

CalRecycle will hold the hybrid public hearing starting at 10:00 AM on September 30, 2025, and concluding upon submission of any public hearing comments. The public hearing will be accessible via Zoom, via Webcast, and in person in the Byron Sher Auditorium located on the 2nd floor of the CalRecycle headquarters at 1001 I Street, Sacramento, California. The Byron Sher Auditorium is wheelchair accessible.
