Responsible Battery Recycling Act Informal Rulemaking Workshop Presentation Available

On May 29, 2025, CalRecycle held an informal public workshop to provide an overview of the Responsible Battery Recycling Act (AB 2440, Irwin, Ch. 351, Statutes of 2022), describe California’s rulemaking process, and solicit feedback on the proposed regulations.

CalRecycle encourages interested parties to provide feedback and comments pertaining to the proposed regulations. Written feedback may be submitted by June 12, 2025, through CalRecycle’s public comment portal or by email. Please include “May 2025 Responsible Battery Recycling Act Workshop” in the email subject line.
