Upcoming SB 54 Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act Permanent Regulations Public Workshop

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) will be holding an informal public workshop on May 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PT).

The purpose of this workshop is to informally consult with the public, the regulated community, and other interested persons to solicit feedback regarding regulations to implement, make specific, and clarify Senate Bill (SB) 54 (Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022).

More information will be forthcoming through the listserv and will be available on the SB 54 Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act Permanent Regulations rulemaking webpage prior to the meeting.

Please note that under the California Public Records Act (Government Code section 7920.000 et seq.), your written and oral comments, attachments, and associated contact information (e.g., your address, phone, email, etc.) become part of the public record and can be released to the public upon request.
