Source Reduction and Material Design Study – Request for Proposal
Request for Proposal (RFP) Posted
CalRecycle is pleased to announce the posting of DRR24062, the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act (SB 54) Source Reduction and Material Design Study RFP. This study will (1) evaluate California's current reuse and refill systems and their use of source reduction strategies to reduce plastic covered material, and (2) determine the actions and investments needed in order to achieve the source reduction goals outlined in Public Resources Code (PRC) Section 42057.
This contract will inform the statewide Needs Assessment CalRecycle will prepare pursuant to PRC Section 42067. This is a Secondary RFP, and the submittal date is no later than April 4th, 2025 at 2:00 PM PST. Please see below for more information.
