Notice of SB 156 Handling Fee Regulatory Text Workshop
The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) will be holding an informal public workshop on February 12, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm.
The purpose of this workshop is to consult with the public, the regulated community, and other interested persons to solicit feedback on draft regulatory text which updates the methodology to be used for calculating the per-container handling fee paid to eligible participants. The purpose of this draft regulatory text is to implement, make specific, and clarify Senate Bill (SB) 156, Chapter 72, Statutes of 2024.
The public workshop will be accessible via Zoom, via Webcast, and in-person in the Sierra Hearing Room located on the 2nd floor of the CalRecycle headquarters at 1001 I Street, Sacramento, California. The Sierra Hearing Room is wheelchair accessible.
