Notice of 15-Day Comment Period for SB 54 Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act Permanent Regulations
The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) has begun a 15-day written comment period for the proposed revisions to the SB 54 Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act Permanent Rulemaking. This 15-day written comment period follows an initial 61-day public comment period that began on March 8, 2024, and ended on May 8, 2024. On April 23, 2024, CalRecycle held a hybrid public hearing to receive public comments.
CalRecycle will only consider written comments sent to CalRecycle and received during the 15-day written comment period which began on October 14, 2024, and ends on October 29, 2024. Written comments received by CalRecycle after the close of the public comment period are considered untimely. CalRecycle may, but is not required to, respond to untimely comments.
