The California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) is implementing Beverage Container Recycling Program reforms to help Californians recycle more containers by providing convenient redemption options across the state. Governor Newsom signed SB 1013 (Atkins, Chapter 610, Statutes of 2022) which requires beverage retailers in convenience zones (within a 1-mile radius of a supermarket) to register with CalRecycle. |
