CalRecycle, as the Lead Agency, is preparing a Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for SB 54 (Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022) Proposed Regulations. 

In accordance with CEQA, agencies are requested to review the Proposed Program provided in the Notice of Preparation and to provide comments on environmental issues related to the statutory responsibilities of each responsible or trustee agency. 

CalRecycle is requesting identification of the scope and content of environmental issues and information that you or your organization believes should be considered in the PEIR. CalRecycle will hold one scoping meeting for the proposed Program on July 22, 2024.

Please send your written/typed comments to CalRecycle by one of the following delivery methods. In your comments, please include your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and “SB 54 Implementing Regulations CEQA” at the top of your comment. All comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 26, 2024.
