SB 54 Advisory Board Meeting
On June 21, 2024, CalRecycle will host an Advisory Board meeting for the implementation of SB 54 (Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022). During this meeting, the Advisory Board will host a panel of representatives from the Advisory Boards/Councils working on packaging EPR laws in Illinois, Oregon, and Colorado to provide an overview of their experience. Other topics of discussion include:

An update from CalRecycle on the SB 54 regulations

Review the template/outline for advisory board recommendations regarding barriers and solutions to a circular economy

Discuss key barriers and solutions to advance the objectives of reducing production or virgin materials for covered materials and reducing landfilling of covered materials
