Project Grantsmanship Online Training Program

Project Grantsmanship helps to strengthen small to medium-sized community-based organizations serving Los Angeles County by training their leaders to plan more effective programs, produce logical and compelling grant proposals, and collaborate more effectively with colleague organizations. This training is underwritten by foundations concerned for the Los Angeles county region, and open to board members and paid staff of nonprofits. Getting Started with the Cultural Data Profile: Webinar

This webinar will cover the basics of completing your Cultural Data Profile (CDP) on the SMU DataArts platform and applying to participating grantmakers. We’ll also share free tools to analyze your data and discuss examples of recent research enabled by CDP data. This session is ideal for new users, or anyone looking for a refresher about how to enter your data and create a Funder Report for a grant deadline.

Cal State LA Downtown Arts Management Online Certificate Program
As arts organizations face rapid change and increasing pressure on traditional operating models, Cal State LA Downtown is launching a new Arts Management Certificate Program designed to prepare arts leaders to innovate, adapt, and lead with purpose.

Drawing from the region’s vibrant cultural landscape, the program is taught by Los Angeles arts leaders, centers on change management, positioning learners as forward-thinking leaders equipped to build sustainable, ethical careers while strengthening the organizations and communities they serve.

The certificate program consists of six courses, with virtual classes starting in April.

Arts and Culture grantees receive professional development SCHOLARSHIPS as part of their OGP, CIAG, and AIP awards!


Students attend the 2015 Arts Internship Program Summit.
The Department of Arts and Culture offers scholarships (up to $750 each) to cover registration costs for professional development opportunities such as conferences or workshops for Organizational Grant Program (OGP), Arts Internship Program (AIP), and Community Impact Arts Grant (CIAG) grantee organizations. Your organization must be a current grantee in good standing in order to participate in the scholarship program.

Visit the Professional Development page for full details on how to apply for a scholarship, as well as eligibility requirements. Benefits include up to 5 classes at The Nonprofit Partnership, up to 5 classes at the Center for Nonprofit Management and up to 5 scholarships (maximum $750 each) to be used for other PD opportunities, per organization every grant year.
