Meet & Confer

What is Meet & Confer? If you have a child support court hearing, the Court requires all parties meet & confer before the court date to settle as many issues as possible. Child support staff will schedule an appointment to discuss your case over the phone. Learn more here or call us at (866) 901-3212 for general questions.

WIC

Expecting mothers or families with children under five, can apply for WIC at local DPSS district offices every second Thursday of the month. Applications for WIC are also accepted online at California Women, Infants & Children Program or by calling 1-800-852-5770.


Everybody Plays

If you’re wondering how to keep kids and youth active, off screens, and even more excited this summer, then this is the program for you! Every Body Plays: Summer Adventures is a FREE program packed with fun, energy, and nonstop activities kids can look forward to every day.

It offers sports & games, tech lab time, ESTEAM & creative activities, field trips and plenty of chances to make new friends along the way. 

Every Body Plays: Summer Adventures will run from June 15 to August 7, Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 5:30 PM. Youth ages 7 to 17 years old are welcome. Snacks are covered and lunch will be available at select sites. Learn more details here


Foster Parent

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is looking for safe, supportive families to provide temporary homes for thousands of young people who need care. Learn more about becoming a foster parent by calling (888) 811-1121 or visiting fosterlakids.org.

The Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department establishes judgments for parentage, as well as establishes, modifies, and enforces orders for child support. The Department has more than 1000 employees, including over 86 attorneys, and in 2025, collected and distributed more than $512 million in child support. The department's core purpose is to ensure children thrive, with a mission of connecting with parents and caregivers to provide child support services.
