As part of my motion calling for the County to create a plan for responding to the federal government’s attempts to freeze funding for poverty alleviation programs that help our residents stay housed, feed their families and look after our children, the County is seeking input from community organizations on support available and how we can best meet your needs if the freeze goes into effect. If you’re part of a community organization, please complete the survey here.
As part of our commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders, expanding access to health services, and ensuring the lived experiences of our residents inform solutions to meet their needs, my office is proud to create the MLK Youth Center Youth Advisory Board in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Youth Development.
This is a paid opportunity. Members will advise county leadership, participate in workshops and listening sessions, and contribute to the design of a Youth Center in South LA.
