Additional Los Angeles County Resources

Fire

Los Angeles County joins with our communities in marking one year since the 2025 Eaton and Palisades wildfires devastated the region, claiming 31 lives and destroying thousands of homes and businesses. Over the past 12 months, County departments and our partners have been working hard to help residents and businesses rebuild and recover from the most destructive wildfire disaster in LA County history.

A new website provides a look back at the impact of the fires, a progress report on what has been accomplished over the last 12 months, and lessons learned.

Parks

Eat, play, and celebrate with L.A. County Parks & Recreation. Enjoy FREE hot supper and snacks during the winter break (and beyond) for youth ages 0-18 from now until February 20, 2026, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Festive Friday snack packs will also be available now until April 17, 2026, on Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

DPH

Despite federal changes to childhood vaccine recommendations, there are no changes to childhood immunization schedules or vaccine availability in LA County. Current California Dept. of Public Health vaccine guidelines are safe, effective, and backed by decades of rigorous science.

LA County will continue to follow proven, evidence-based public health guidance to protect children from serious and preventable diseases.
