 Due to the federal government shutdown, CalFresh benefits are delayed for the month of November.
Los Angeles County has a network of 940 food pantries in place, coordinated by the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Food is available now for anyone who needs it, and supplies will increase for the month of November. For food assistance, residents can visit their local food pantry or find one near them or call 2-1-1.
 Parks & Recreation recognize the serious challenges caused by the ongoing federal government shutdown and its potential impact on our communities. They are offering FREE nutritious meals at park sites across the County for youth, teens and seniors.

The Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department establishes judgments for parentage, as well as establishes, modifies, and enforces orders for child support. The Department has more than 1000 employees, including over 86 attorneys, and in 2024, collected and distributed more than $512 million in child support. The department's core purpose is to ensure children thrive, with a mission of connecting with parents and caregivers to provide child support services.
