This weekend marks a celebration of summer and the great achievements of our workers and our labor movement.
In the spirit of Labor Day, we are excited to support 10 High Road Training Partnerships (HRTPs) with incredible cross-sector partners that are currently recruiting for quality jobs and careers in hospitality, construction trades, healthcare, and arts and entertainment. Check out these industry-informed, worker-center programs, verify your eligibility, and download flyers on our training page to share with your friends and neighbors. We will be training nearly 2,000 workers this year across 20+ HRTPs.
We also know our entrepreneurs are creating jobs daily here in the region. This includes 21 food and merchandise sidewalk vendors who are formalizing their businesses with $100,000 in Small Business Mobility Fund grants announced this week from DEO and Inclusive Action for the City. Additionally, we have subsidies with Public Health for your food permits and Small Business Mobility Fund Formalization Grants up to $5,000 available today.
Stay cool, stay safe, and see you next week.
