CSAM

The Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department (CSSD), alongside 47 regional and local child support agencies in California, proudly recognizes August as Child Support Awareness Month (CSAM), a time to highlight the vital role child support plays in helping children thrive.

This year’s statewide theme, “New Laws. New Approach. Your Best Deal,” reflects a wave of modernization and legislative changes that has reshaped the child support program in the past five years. Throughout August, CSSD will host a variety of events to raise awareness about CSAM and connect with the community.

As we observe Child Support Awareness Month, we recognize that while every family is different, all parents share the same goal, which is to build a better future for their children. For more information on child support services, visit cssd.lacounty.gov.
