From the Same Vine of Justice: César Chávez and DCBA

Cesar Chavez

When we reflect on the Montgomery Bus Boycott, Rosa Parks comes to mind. And for the Delano Grape Strike, César Chávez is often the name etched in history. Yet, on March 31, as we commemorate Chávez's life and contributions, it’s essential to recognize the collective power behind his achievements. Working alongside iconic figures like Dolores Huerta and Larry Itliong, Chávez ignited a movement rooted in solidarity, unifying communities to fight for worker rights and fair pay.

Discover how his legacy lives on today in LA County's Office of Labor Equity, by providing resources to inform and empower workers. Explore the rich history, the shared victories, and the resources that uphold Chávez's enduring message: honest work deserves fair pay.
