 Deadline Approaching for SBA Loans for Physical Damage
It's not too late for homeowners, renters, nonprofits, and businesses affected by the recent wildfires to apply for a federal disaster loan with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The deadline is March 31, 2025.
Applicants can apply here for a disaster loan. Residents can call 800‐659‐2955 or schedule an in-person appointment to have their questions answered.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard Fire Recovery and Repairs Continue
Topanga Canyon Boulevard remains closed to the public between Pacific Coast Highway and Grand View as extensive cleanup and repairs continue. Caltrans is prepared to open the road as soon as it is safe in coordination with the California Highway Patrol, utilities and local public agencies.
Caltrans expects to open one lane to school buses during designated times with an escort this week and is working on a plan with its partners to also allow essential business travel during this timeframe. For more information click here.
Myths vs. Facts: FEMA Disaster Assistance
During disasters, myths about FEMA disaster assistance can spread that can prevent survivors from applying for the help they may need. Impacted residents should know that FEMA assistance is available for either wind or fire related damage. Either may qualify you for assistance.
