Dear Neighbor,
Last week, many Angelenos were affected by the devastating wildfires that swept through our area. While this has been a difficult time for so many, I want to assure you that we are working tirelessly to support our community’s recovery efforts.
The County has mobilized resources to assist those who have been displaced, injured, or otherwise impacted. We are collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure help is readily available, and that recovery is a priority for all those affected.
As we move forward, it’s crucial that we continue to stay informed. Your safety and well-being remain our top priority.
If you or someone you know needs assistance, do not hesitate to reach out for support. Together, we will rebuild and recover stronger than before.
Take care and stay safe,
Hilda L. Solis Chair Pro Tem, Supervisor of the First District
My office facilitated the activation of an emergency evacuation center at the Pomona Fairplex in collaboration with Red Cross. We are prepared to continue receiving residents and animals needing a place to stay.
Residents in need can go to 1101 W McKinley Ave. Pomona, CA 91768 and receive supplies such as emergency kits, water, food, and shelter. This evacuation site is open to anyone in Los Angeles County who is in need of support as a result of the ongoing fires. The Fairplex is also equipped for pets and large animals.
