There’s Still Time to Protect Yourself
2024 is almost over but you can still protect yourself against influenza (flu), COVID-19, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). End of year celebrations often include indoor gatherings which spread respiratory viruses.
The flu, COVID-19 or RSV have similar symptoms like fever, cough, body aches, and shortness of breath. No one wants to feel sick, especially during the holidays. Protect yourself and those around you by getting vaccinated.
LA Health Services gives you several options to make it easy to receive vaccines. Â
- Make your own appointment. Use the LA Health Portal and select “schedule an appointment”.
- Call your doctor’s office and tell them you would like to get vaccinated against this season’s respiratory viruses. Click here for a list of our clinics and their phone numbers.
- Call 844-804-0055, press Option 1.
Anyone who is over 6 months of age should get vaccinated against flu and COVID-19. In addition to the flu and COVID-19, pregnant people, adults over 60 and children under 5 should also get the RSV vaccine.
For more information, please visit our flu, COVID-19, and RSV sections in the LA Health Services website.
