LA County’s Vision Zero Receives $29.81 Million Federal Grant
Each year, on average, more than 75 people lose their lives in traffic collisions on unincorporated County roadways. Vision Zero is an initiative of LA County's Public Works Department to eliminate traffic-related fatalities. The $29.81 million in funding received will support critical infrastructure changes in the unincorporated areas with the highest rates of traffic collisions and pedestrians, including in the unincorporated communities of Westmont/West Athens and Willowbrook/West Rancho Dominguez in the Second District.
We look forward to this significant investment helping to further actualize LA County's Vision Zero plan, especially for our unincorporated communities impacted by illegal street racing and takeovers.
