Join the ArtsVote 2024: Make Your Vote Count campaign to maximize voter turnout among artists and arts advocates. The Arts Action Fund has launched the ArtsVote 2024 Election Resource Hub, featuring everything from customized state election factsheets to engaging social media graphics. Election laws are different in every state and many have revised their laws since the last big election. Unfortunately, some states have made it harder to vote, thereby suppressing voter turnout.
Together, we can prevent this!
Explore the new ArtsVote 2024 Election Resource Hub to find the ArtsVote Pledge, customized State Voter Factsheets, state voter deadlines, social media toolkits, the Arts Action Fund's Federal Candidate Arts Survey, the draft of the DNC Arts & Humanities Platform, ArtsVote Store, and more. More resources will continuously be added for you to use and share, so stay tuned!
Register for the Arts Action Fund’s upcoming free, 75-minute webinar ArtsVote 2024: How to Get Out The Vote on Thursday, September 5, 2024 | 3PM ET. |

Can nonprofit arts and culture organizations engage in
get-out-the-vote activities?
Yes! Research shows nonpartisan voter mobilization efforts by nonprofits are incredibly effective at increasing likelihood of turnout. Plus, there are a wide array of resources to help you integrate voter engagement into your organization’s ongoing activities and services.
The National Council of Nonprofits hosted a webinar on July 30 where they covered why and how nonprofits should do nonpartisan voter engagement between now and Election Day. Watch a recording of the workshop and download their brand new Voter Engagement Guide.
Nonprofit VOTE is a national organization that provides nonpartisan resources for nonprofits. Their resource library includes webinars, printable materials, and creative ideas for how to engage voters while staying nonpartisan.
If you want to go deep, download their 2024 Nonprofit Power report, a research study showing the critical role that trusted local nonprofits play in building a more inclusive democracy, especially by engaging historically underrepresented voters.
National Voter Registration Day is September 17.

As the California Association of Nonprofits says in their Policy Framework:
- We support policies that ensure that Californians have full access to voting, are informed of their voting rights, and receive objective and complete information about candidates and measures. In particular, we support policies that address demographic disparities in voter turnout through voter education and expanded access to voting. We believe nonprofits have an essential role to play in achieving these goals.
