REUNION BETWEEN BELL GARDENS INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL STUDENT AND FIRST RESPONDERS WHO SAVED HIS LIFE

WHAT:

Earlier this year, 12-year-old Alexis Viveros, went into cardiac arrest at Bell Gardens Intermediate School.  Campus Safety Officers Kathy Mariscal and Raleigh Garcia, and School Nurse Corina Ramirez quickly responded and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  Bell Gardens Police Department Sergeant Ruben Catani and Officer Nicholas Robles arrived and used the automated external defibrillator to deliver an electrical shock to Alexis’ heart to restore its normal rhythm.

Minutes later, firefighters from Fire Station 39 arrived to continue
life-saving measures and transport Alexis to a local area hospital.  Thankfully, after a short stay in the hospital, Alexis was released and has fully recovered.

Join us as Alexis is reunited with all those who saved his life to say thank you.
