Statement on the dismissal of L.A. County Probation Department Chief Adolfo Gonzales
Los Angeles, CA – On February 23rd, the Probation Oversight Commission voted to recommend that the L.A. County Board of Supervisors (Board) ask for the resignation of Probation Chief Adolfo Gonzales. The Board took swift action, and today the Board voted unanimously to terminate Chief Gonzales. We appreciate this necessary step toward our efforts to bring stability for all stakeholders of the L.A. County Probation Department and to achieve real reform for the youth and adults impacted and served by the Department.
