Order and Administration Reminders
- REMINDER: Please place all orders in myCAvax by the Monday 1/16/23 5pm deadline. In observance of MLK Holiday, the CDPH Provider COVID-19 Call Center will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2023 and reopen on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. The Holiday ordering cadence can be found here.

Future of Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup
- With COVID-19 vaccines now incorporated into the national routine immunization schedule from infancy through adulthood, reflecting extensive and ongoing safety monitoring, the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup is disbanding. Future national recommendations are expected to suffice as the basis for proceeding in California.
- The FDA recently announced that a meeting of its Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) is scheduled for January 26, 2023, to discuss future COVID-19 vaccination regimens.

COVID-19 Bivalent Booster Vaccine Administration Guidance
- Ages 6 months – 4 years and completed the Moderna primary series: 1 bivalent Moderna booster dose
- Ages 6 months – 4 years and completed the Pfizer primary series: no booster dose is recommended at this time
- Age 5 years and completed the Moderna primary series: 1 mRNA Moderna or Pfizer booster dose
- Age 5 years and completed the Pfizer primary series: 1 bivalent Pfizer booster dose
- Ages 6 years and older and any primary series: 1 bivalent mRNA Moderna or Pfizer booster dose

Vaccine Marketplace Reminder
With bivalent products and monovalent products in demand, this is a reminder that the Vaccine Marketplace is a great space for all providers to share excess doses of all vaccine types. For those who may need a refresher on what the marketplace is link here or how to post, there is an interactive provider guide CDPH has released link here

General Updates
- Janssen/J&J vaccine product sunset postponed until the end of May
- Novavax expires at the end of February and McKesson will stop shipments at the end of January
- Supply of Pfizer’s Bivalent infant/toddler vaccine for 4 months-5 years remains tight through 19 January
- Moderna monovalent vaccines begin to expire February/March
- Pfizer monovalent 12+, only the Comirnaty label will be available after January

My Turn Update
- With the Unified Login Experience, Providers will be able to access both My Turn and myCAvax using one login credential.
- Providers will no longer have to create duplicate Contact records during Enrollment or when adding Contact roles such as CEO / CMO, Organization Vaccine Coordinator, and Vaccine Coordinators.
- Providers will be able to view accurate account contact relationships between Contacts, Locations, and Organizations.

My Turn/myCAvax Unified Login Experience – New Login Process
- The Unified Login Experience (ULE) will go live on Monday, January 16, 2023
- Providers who currently access both My Turn and myCAvax will use .mycavax login credentials to access both systems.

My Turn Only Users
- When logging in, My Turn only users with a username ending in .myturn need to replace the .myturn with .mycavax.
- Your password will not
- LHDs / MCEs - The Salesforce System Admin login process will not change.
- The Unified Login Experience (ULE) will deploy today, January 13, 2023, at 6:00 PM PT - Monday, January 16, 2023, at 8:00 AM PT. myCAvax and My Turn will be unavailable during this time.

COVID-19 Therapeutics

Health care providers can now call 1-866-268-4322 (COVID-CA) to receive free and confidential consultation on COVID-19 testing and treatment. The COVID-19 Therapeutics Warmline is a real-time resource available to all California health care providers and is managed by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) National Clinician Consultation Center.
- Health care providers of any experience level can call to speak with a clinician or pharmacist.
- No PHI will be collected; only basic provider contact and facility information.
- An online case submission form is coming soon.
- Available Monday through Friday, 6AM – 5PM, P.S.T. Voicemail messages left after hours will be returned on the next business day
- Test to Treat Provider Education: Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO)
- Upcoming events:
- Destruction of COVID-19 Therapeutics
- Licensed provider locations with destruction procedures in place that follow all federal, state, and local regulations may destroy therapeutics on site only if:
- Guidelines are followed on what product can be destroyed
- Only expired product or unauthorized product that can no longer be stored
- No unexpired product that is currently authorized for use can be destroyed
- Sites are to follow established protocols for destruction and attest in HPoP to following all regulations
- Quantities of any product destroyed is recorded in HPoP
- Licensed provider locations with destruction procedures in place that follow all federal, state, and local regulations may destroy therapeutics on site only if:
