Order and Administration Reminders
- REMINDER: CDPH will be closed on Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
- REMINDER: Please update temporary closures in your myCAvax accounts immediately if your location will have closures during the holidays.

Youngest Pediatric Bivalent Products: 6 months-4 years
- CDC released guidance this week
- Does appear that there will be a single pre-order wave for the Pfizer and Moderna products
- Expect that Pfizer will be authorized as part of the primary series
- Expect that Moderna will be authorized as a booster dose
- More information will be shared as it becomes available

Vaccine Marketplace Reminder
With bivalent products and monovalent products in demand, this is a reminder that the Vaccine Marketplace is a great space for all providers to share excess doses of all vaccine types. For those of you who may need a refresher on what the marketplace is link here or how to post, there is an interactive provider guide CDPH has released link here

Controlant Service Ending
- Upon receipt – Providers press the “Stop” button to receive their final report

Note – Starting in November 2022, providers can no longer use the Pfizer COVID vaccine medium ULT shippers for temporary storage after receipt
- On November 24, 2022, Controlant Digital Data Loggers (DDLs) will no longer be available for continued temporary storage temperature monitoring following the initial delivery of vaccine shipments.
- All providers still using Controlant DDLs for in-house temperature monitoring should make plans to install their own appropriate storage and monitoring equipment.
- All providers should return Controlant DDLs using the return shipping label.

Pfizer Single-Dose Vials (SDVs) Update
- Pfizer single-dose vials of the COVID-19 bivalent (12+ years, gray cap) booster vaccine will be available to order with a minimum of 50 doses the week of November 28, 2022. Please note that supplies of this product are expected to be very limited so it is anticipated that some orders will not be approved.
- National Drug Code (NDC): 59267-1404-02
- Configuration: 10 single-dose vials/carton
- Standard order quantity: 50 doses
- Product dimensions: 1.457 in. length × 1.535 in. width × 3.504 in. height
- Storage and handling: Same as other Pfizer Tris products (e.g., store at ultralow temperature until expiry; may refrigerate up to 10 weeks within expiry period)
- No ancillary kits included with single-dose vial orders
- Single-dose vials do not require the use of low-dead-volume (LDV) syringes.

Calling all FQHCs & Look-Alikes: RFA due 12/09/22
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Immunization Branch is announcing a Request for Applications (RFA) for a grant to assess and improve adult immunization rates in Community Health Centers (CHCs). CDPH is seeking a large Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or look-alike to assess immunization levels and implement quality improvement activities aimed to increase immunization rates in an identified adult patient population. CDPH Immunization Branch staff will provide support and technical assistance to the selected grantee. Funding will be available through June 2023 for up to $127,000. Applications are due December 9, 2022. Please share this communication with organizations that could benefit from this funding.
