D.A. Gascón Announces Charges
in Series of Brazen Daytime Robberies

DA-NL202209-Robberies-Rowland-Heights

Three men were charged in a series of daytime robberies, including the pistol whipping of a shopper in the 99 Ranch Market parking lot in Rowland Heights.

“These brazen crimes – all of which occurred during the day – are deeply troubling,” District Attorney George Gascón said, during a Sept. 6 news conference. “The majority of the people victimized were from the Asian American Community and I know that this has caused significant community trauma. I hope that all of those who have been impacted by this spree of violence take some comfort in knowing that those who caused harm will be held accountable.”

The accused were charged with second-degree robbery and elder abuse. They allegedly were involved in nine robberies in the San Gabriel Valley and in Glendale.
