Jesus Zaragoza was in desperate need of a child-sized wheelchair due to his disability. Without the wheelchair, he was non-mobilized and unable to enjoy the simple things of life. Through a wonderful organization from Strength Based Community Change (SBCC), a wheelchair was donated to him so he can start living life to its fullest. READ FULL STORY

This gun buy back event was held as an opportunity for the public to surrender unwanted weapons safely and potentially out of the hands of criminals.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva and Department personnel host a Toy Give Away to Bring a Smile to Children's Faces

Vendors donated hundreds of toys to give a child an opportunity to pick out a special toy bringing a bit of happiness to them. Everyone enjoyed the Cinco De Mayo Food and Toy giveaway event at Riverfront Park in the City of Maywood.
