Ending Women's History Month on a high note by Honoring Deputy Apolinar

On September 12, 2020, Deputy Claudia Apolinar was with her partner in their patrol vehicle at the Martin Luther King Transit Center in the City of Compton. While parked and without provocation, a lone gunman walked up to their patrol vehicle and fired his gun at them, severely injuring both deputies. Deputy Apolinar, while severely injured, sought cover from gunfire, tended to her injured partner, and relayed information over the radio to responding deputies. The Pink Patch Project is an innovative public awareness campaign to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations. The project is a collaborative effort between the Los Angeles County Police Chiefs' Association and public safety agencies in Los Angeles County. New Emergency Vehicle Driver’s Training Course Opened in Castaic

On Monday, March 21, 2022, LASD held the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Pitchess Detention Center (PDC) Emergency Vehicle Operations Center (EVOC), located in Castaic, California.
