Sheriff Villanueva Attends Fundraiser for Fallen LAPD Officer

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022 Sheriff Villanueva had the honor of attending a fundraiser for fallen LAPD Officer Fernando Arroyos at LAPD-Olympic Division. Fernando Arroyos was the sole provider for his family. All donations from the event went to the Arroyos family...VIEW PHOTOS   


Sheriff Villanueva Announced Charges in the Murder of LAPD Officer

January 13, 2022 

On Thursday, January 13, 2022 Sheriff Villanueva, Homicide Bureau Personnel, LAPD Chief Moore, Assistant Director of FBI (LA Field Office) Christy Koons Johnson, along with a few others were present during a press conference to announce the charges filed in the murder of LAPD Officer Arroyos. Federal prosecutors filed a criminal complaint charging three members of a Los Angeles street gang with violating a federal racketeering statute for their roles in the robbery and fatal shooting of LAPD Officer Arroyos...VIEW VIDEO


Sheriff Villanueva joined former City of Walnut Mayor Jake Lim at the ground breaking ceremony for the Grand Century Plaza in Rowland Heights

On Monday, January 17, 2022 Sheriff Villanueva attended the ground breaking ceremony for the Grand Century Plaza  alongside Mayor Jake Lim and other community leaders. The Rowland Heights Community will soon have a new attraction featuring restaurants, entertainment centers, retail opportunities, and medical and business offices. On Wednesday, January 19, 2022 Sheriff Villanueva showed his appreciation to Mr. Miguel Villa, a 78 year old  "paletero" (popsicle vendor) in East Los Angeles. Mr. Villa's hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed. Sheriff Villanueva gifted Mr. Villa an authentic LASD Cowboy hat which he proudly accepted...VIEW PHOTOS
