DPSS OFFICES CLOSED IN OBSERVANCE OF NEW YEAR’S DAY
DPSS offices will be closed on Friday, December 31, in observance of New Year’s Day.
DECEMBER 31 IS THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR DISCOUNT ON INTERNET SERVICE
Apply by the December 31, 2021 deadline to take advantage of the Emergency Broadband Benefit that provides qualifying households a $50 per month subsidy for Internet service until March 2022, and a $30 discount on Internet service thereafter. Apply online today at Emergency Broadband Benefit (internetforallnow.org) or call 866-696-8748.
LAHSA WINTER SHELTERS NOW OPEN
Due to cold and rainy weather, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) has activated its Winter Shelter Program throughout L.A. County. The shelters will remain open until March 31, 2022. Visit Winter Shelter (lahsa.org) to learn how to access and obtain a list of shelters.
IHSS HELPLINE OFFERS ONLINE CHATS WITH DPSS AGENTS
The IHSS Helpline Community is a new online customer service center for IHSS recipients and providers. The IHSS Helpline Community offers access to real-time online chats with DPSS agents, a 24-hour IHSS Helpline ticket system to submit questions, helpful articles, and links to additional IHSS Helpline services. The chat feature is available Monday through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the IHSS Helpline Community website to register and create an account to chat online about your program needs.
LAC+USC MEDICAL CENTER COVID-19 VACCINE RESOURCES

COVID-19 VACCINE RESOURCES FOR MOTHERS
The L.A. County Department of Public Health, along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is strongly encouraging COVID-19 vaccination for all women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant now, or might become pregnant in the future.
