Flame of Hope: Special Olympics Torch Run 

November 24, 2021 

The Special Olympics Torch Run is an event consisting of various law enforcement agencies who participate in a run/walk to raise funds for Special Olympic athletes. The torch run began on October 17 and carried on until November 14, 2021.

SVB Turkey Giveaway 

November 22 , 2021

On Monday, November 22, 2021 Special Victims Bureau (SVB) personnel, along with Undersheriff Tim Murakami, Crime Survivors Founder- Patricia Wenskunas, and the District Attorney’s Bureau of Victim Services came together for their annual turkey giveaway. Over 125 turkeys and a variety of groceries were handed out to victims in need. What a great way to show support!

Sheriff Villanueva Honors WWII Veteran 

November 11, 2021

Sheriff Villanueva had the honor of personally wishing Mr. Alvino Lopez, a WWII Veteran a Happy Veteran's Day. Mr. Lopez is 95 years old and is the youngest of four brothers who all served in the war.

Sheriff Villanueva Attends the Armenian Society of Los Angeles' 65th Annual Dinner

Diversity plays a very big role in our society. Learning about different cultures, languages, and backgrounds helps create a better understanding of peoples experiences and opinions. Being able to attend these events helps create a better understanding to improve our relationship with members of the communities we serve.
