To all,
Yesterday I sent a note wishing everyone a happy holiday. I want to say that for some, Thanksgiving is not a holiday, but a grim reminder of the death and destruction waged against them on their native land. While my thanks to all of you is truly sincere, I am sorry for my belated acknowledgement of the pain that is and was inflicted on the ancestors and families of Indigenous Americans, with whom we stand in solidarity and who continue to seek freedom and peace. I write from the land of the Cahuilla, in recognition and in honor of their land and their heritage. I am truly thankful for all of you and all of your work. Please stay safe and know that we stand together.
