Uncovering Coercive Control Panel: The survivor voices behind the narratives
The Safe & Together Institute partners with survivors to create innovative ways to achieve safety and healing. Uncovering Coercive Control: A narrative tool for professionals partnering with survivors, which will be launched later in 2022, is a ground-breaking resource that supports professionals in improving their skills and strategies for partnering with survivors. The tool uses the diverse voices of survivors to help other survivors articulate their own experiences as part of their journey. This panel will offer participants the unique opportunity to hear directly from the North American and European survivors whose personal narratives of coercive control are central to this resource. Luke & Ryan Hart, who are the primary partners in the development of the tool, will share their vision. Courageous Fire (USA) and Shana Begum (UK) will talk about their experience in being a part of this project as well as their hopes for its impact on professionals and survivors across the globe.
Note: This panel will be offered twice to accommodate attendees in North American and European time zones.
When: January 13-14, 2022 Location: Virtual Academy, zoom
Registration: $225 (US) starting November 1
Cost Includes: Live Virtual Event + Recording
