Norwalk Sheriff's Station Brings " A Tradition of Service" to Elderly La Mirada Community Member in Need

Deputy Ana Acosta from Norwalk Sheriff's Station went above and beyond while responding to a suspected elder abuse call for service. She quickly determined there was no crime. Margarita Perez, a La Mirada resident was living in a cluttered home which needed attention. Due to her medical condition, she was unable to clean her home. Deputy Acosta along with Norwalk Station personnel, friends, and family came together to give Margarita's home a complete makeover.

Imminent Threat to Public Safety

Sheriff Villanueva wrote a letter to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors where he expressed his concerns regarding their vaccination mandate and the discipline LA County employees will face if they do not comply. He states he faces the potential of losing 44 percent of his workforce in one day. Sheriff Villanueva believes this mandate will create a "pandemic of chaos" within our county which will result in tragic losses.

Sheriff Villanueva and LASD personnel brought awareness and showed their support to retired LASD Sergeant Jeannie Ramirez who is battling breast cancer. Ramirez immersed herself in the community she served and now that she is in a health crisis, deputies are rallying behind her to help in any and every way possible. She worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department from 1979-2007.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Unveil New Station

On Monday, October 18, 2021 Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's unveiled their new station located at 26201 Golden Valley Road in the city of Santa Clarita. Sheriff Villanueva, Captain Justin Diez of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, and Supervisor Kathryn Barger of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, were among those in attendance.

Fix' N Fidos Inaugural Golf Tournament
October 17, 2021
Sheriff Villanueva, his wife Vivian, and LASD personnel joined KTLA Reporter Kacey Montoya at the Fix' N Fidos inaugural golf tournament. Fix N' Fidos is a nonprofit organization raising money to assist low income pet owners in Southern California by paying for spay/neuter to help prevent unwanted or unexpected puppies. The event was a huge success that raised over $100,000.
