Economic supports are crucial for survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence, but need to be survivor-centered to have the greatest impact in reducing violence. As the field learns more about the power of economic support strategies for prevention, it's time to examine the practical details of this strategy that uphold the dignity of survivors and communities and promote equity. Join PreventConnect and the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence for a conversation with FreeFrom, a national organization working to advance financial security for intimate partner violence survivors. This web conference will discuss FreeFrom’s three pillars of financial security work, as well as examine economic support policies within organizations and communities and their impacts on preventing violence from occurring.
