SHERIFF VILLANUEVA PAYS HIS RESPECTS TO CHICAGO P.D.

On August 7, 2021 Chicago Police Officer, Ella French lost her life during a traffic stop. That tragic stop that also left her partner fighting for his life. On Wednesday, August 18, 2021 Sheriff Villanueva had the honor of paying his respects to Officer French, a true hero whose life was cut short. He joined Chicago P.D. Superintendent David Brown, thousands of Peace Officers, family, friends, and community members at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel in Chicago.

SHERIFF VILLANUEVA JOINED SAVVA RENT-A-CAR OWNER IN A CAR GIVEAWAY

Sheriff Villanueva and SAVVA Rent-A-Car owner, Nikita Gromyko surprised a family in need with a new car. Nikita has been working on trying to get LA County residents to submit their stories and join this project. This was the third car Nikita has donated to a deserving family.

LASD HONORED PURPLE HEART MEDAL RECIPIENTS

The Purple Heart Medal is awarded to members of the U.S. armed forces who are wounded by an instrument of war in the hands of the enemy. On Purple Heart Day, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department honored our department members who were wounded in battle as they honorably served our country and now serve the County of Los Angeles.
