LASD Members Participate in a 24 HR Rowing Challenge to Raise Money for a Good Cause

Satoshi: First Electronic Detection Dog in LASD History

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is pleased to introduce the newest member of the LASD family, K9 Deputy Satoshi a.k.a. "Toshi". Toshi is a 1 1/2 year old Labrador Retriever and is the first electronic detection dog in LASD history. He was sworn in by Sheriff Villanueva on July 13, 2021.He is trained to alert on electronic devices that have a storage capacity, such as: hard drives, SD cards, phones, tablets, laptops, and so on. LASD Narcotics Bureau Arrest Man for Narcotics Sales in Connection with Venice Homeless Outreach Organization

In the afternoon hours of Thursday, July 22, 2021, Narcotics Bureau investigators served a two-location search warrant in the Venice area of Los Angeles. Garry Featherstone (11/23/55), a self-proclaimed homeless advocate was arrested for possession of Phencyclidine (PCP) for sale;11378.5 HS and Possession of Methamphetamine for sale;11378.1 HS.
