DAY 3 OF COUNTYWIDE CURFEW, ECONOMIC RECOVERY WEBINARS FOR FIRST DISTRICT BUSINESSES BEGIN TOMORROW, AND INCIDENT REPORT

The County of Los Angeles is regularly updating resources on COVID-19 and offers today's update in an effort to keep you and yours informed. Please share the following up-to-date information:

Public Safety Alert: Countywide Curfew Extended (Day 3)

COVID-19 Social Media Toolkit

LA County has extended a countywide curfew for all unincorporated and incorporated areas of the County. This is Day 3 of a curfew order, and is in effect beginning tonight at 6:00 p.m, through 6:00 a.m, tomorrow morning.

To protect the public's safety, no persons shall travel or be upon public streets, avenues, alleys, parks, ways or any other public place in the County of Los Angeles for the duration of this curfew. The following are exempt:

  • Law enforcement personnel
  • Firefighting personnel
  • Emergency health care providers
  • Emergency medical personnel
  • Civilians engaged in police or emergency work
  • Individuals seeking emergency care
  • Individuals experiencing homelessness who are sheltering in place
  • Individuals traveling to and from their place of employment
  • Individuals traveling to and from voting activities, and
  • Representatives of the media

Note: The curfew does not apply to individuals voting in Special Elections occurring today in the City of Commerce and in El Rancho Unified School District in Pico Rivera. In both elections, all voters were mailed ballots and the LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk has one mobile vote center in each jurisdiction that has been open daily since Saturday and will be open today until 8 p.m. Poll workers are also exempt from the order. Beginning Tomorrow: Economic Recovery Webinars for LA County Businesses in the First District

Economic Recovery Webinars

A series of FREE webinars to help LA County businesses in the First District get through difficult times begin tomorrow. LA County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, in conjunction with LA County's Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS), Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA), and the Development Authority (LACDA) will offer information on resources and services that may be of assistance to businesses, including:

  1. The First District COVID-19 Business Relief Grant
  2. The Regional COVID-19 Relief Fund
  3. Great Plates Delivered
  4. Business Services (Specialized Training, Lay Off Aversion & Technical Assistance
  5. Disaster Help Center & Small Business Resources

The webinars will take place on:

  •  Tomorrow, June 3 (3 to 4:30 p.m.)
  • Thursday, June 4 (3 to 4:30 p.m.)
  • Friday, June 5 (3 to 4:30 p.m.)
