As announced here, today, May 13, 2020 is the last day for people to input banking account information into the IRS portal to receive stimulus payments by direct deposit.
Our Bank On Los Angeles County partners have safe, affordable accounts available to help unbanked residents throughout the County obtain an account at a mainstream financial institution and avoid expensive check-cashing fees. Some of our financial institution partners allow accounts to be opened online.
Sign up in three steps:
- Identify an account you wish to open using our matrix.
- Open the account online if that option is available or by visiting a bank branch (refer to this document for more information on which accounts can be opened online).
- Enter your new account number on the IRS website; there is one link for those who filed taxes (but did not use a bank or credit union account) in 2018/2019, and another link for non-filers, those who did not file taxes in 2018/2019.

 Reopening Safely in Los Angeles County
Los Angeles County has worked together to slow the spread of COVID-19 by following the Safer at Home order. As we plan for recovery and the gradual relaxing of Safer at Home, we are sharing the Department of Public Health’s Roadmap to Recovery.
Get the assistance you need. DCBA has partnered with the Department of Workforce, Development, Aging, and Community Services, and other County and State agencies to bring you the L.A. County Disaster Help Center.
The center has resources for businesses as well as employees to help during the COVID-19 emergency.
Counselors are available Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to help business owners navigate emergency loan applications and help individuals that were recently laid off due to this emergency.
