New Health Officer Order

Mother's Day

Stage two for re-opening LA County began this morning. To mark this stage of reopening, LA County's Public Health Officer has issued a new order which highlights the following:

  1. Retail businesses are allowed to reopen for curbside pick-up or delivery service only, and must implement & post the Department of Public Health (DPH) Reopening Protocol for Retail Establishments. (Opened today, May 8th).
  2. New or used auto sales dealerships or operations are allowed to reopen. As a condition of reopening, these businesses must implement the DPH Reopening Protocol for Car Dealerships. (Opened today, May 8th)
  3. Private and public golf courses are permitted to reopen. Each golf course must comply with use and infection control protocols found in the DPH Reopening Protocol for Golf Courses. (Open Saturday, May 9th)
  4. Previously closed public trails & trailheads within LA County Public Health jurisdiction are allowed to reopen. The public must practice physical distancing and comply with all access and use restrictions stated in the DPH Reopening Protocol for Use of Public Trails. (Open Saturday, May 9th)

If you work at any of the locations allowed to reopen or plan to visit them, LA County wants to make certain you know what to do to keep everyone safe. Please continue to:

  • practice physical distancing
  • wear a face covering and
  • wash or sanitize your hands while out in public

And if you can stay home, stay home. Save lives. To learn more about LA County's recovery process, visit covid19.lacounty.gov/recovery.
