The Civilian Oversight Commission for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is hosting its monthly commission meeting. Items that will be discussed include:
- L.A. County Medical Examiner-Coroner presentation on the department's duties and responsibilities
- Family Assistance Program adopted by the Board of Supervisors on July 9, 2019
- Harassment allegations of families affected by fatal uses of force by the Sheriff’s Department
The public is encouraged to attend. As the Commission works to boost transparency and accountability, community input is vital to the ongoing analysis of the department’s policies, practices and procedures.
