What: 

The Civilian Oversight Commission for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is hosting its monthly commission meeting. Items that will be discussed include:

  • Presentation by County Counsel on status of active settlement agreements involving mental health services, suicide prevention, and the use of force in the L.A. County jails
  • Discussion of Sheriff's Department response to request for information by the Commission concerning LASD Internal Administrative Investigations
  • Presentation by Healing Dialogue and Action regarding misconduct allegations at the East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station

The public is encouraged to attend. As the Commission works to boost transparency and accountability, community input is vital to the ongoing analysis of the department’s policies, practices, procedures.
