Deputies, Family, Friends of Fallen Partner Joseph Solano Remember His Sacrifice During Procession

LA County Sheriff's Department Deputy Joseph Solano, who was fatally shot, was honored and remembered during a procession through the streets of Los Angeles on Saturday. Deputy Solano was escorted from the LA County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner to Calvary Cemetery, where he arrived around 10:30 a.m., surrounded by his fellow deputies.

Murder Suspect Extradited From Mexico After Being Arrested in Connection to Carson Murder

A man wanted in a Carson murder investigation and linked to a missing 15-year-old girl and her mother -- another suspect in the murder -- was arrested in Mexico Thursday. Roman Cerratos was accompanied by an FBI agent to the United States. He was turned over to the LA County Sheriff's Department after he arrived to Los Angeles International Airport from Guadalajara.

2 Hikers Rescued from Vasquez Rocks Last Week, Hoisted Out by Air 5 Rescue Team

Around 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of two hikers at Vasquez Rocks on Escondido Canyon Road in Agua Dulce who suffered from heat exposure, said Sky Cornell, an inspector for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
